Here in the heartland of America, the people of the Central District are the regional arm of the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA). We share the rich heritage that makes the EFCA so unique in today's complex ministry landscape. As a group of independent churches in southeast South Dakota, Iowa, Missouri, and Arkansas, we are connected to Christ and connected to each other through the ministry of the Central District.

The Central District's mission is to assist our affiliate churches in their timeless mission to proclaim the wonderful news about Jesus Christ to a desperately needy world. We also seek to help establish new churches that are committed to this same mission and model the distinctives of the EFCA.

Simply stated, our mission is to multiply healthy churches. This year our District Superintendent has challenged us to accomplish our mission through "pursuing passionate Christianity".
